The company has a wide range of possibilities in the field of production of radio-electronic devices. “GZAS” carries out production, maintenance, repair and modernization of aviation and ground airfield radios, equipment of internal communication and switching.

The radio stations of the 5th generation of MW and HF bands produced by GZAS work on military and civil aircraft of Russian production. Internal communications and switching equipment manufactured by GZAS is installed on modern Russian armored vehicles. The products of the plant are delivered to all regions of Russia, countries of near and far abroad.

At the factory there was a design office, and after a while the future “GZAS” has one of the first in the country who begin to work on state order.

In December 1951, the plant was transformed into a company for the production of radio equipment. The production of aircraft communications began. Reliability and simplicity of operation made it possible to use them in various aircraft. From 1956 the plant began to produce air and ground-based radio stations for aviation management.

The products of the plant were awarded with medals and diplomas of various degrees at international exhibitions For its contribution to the development of the radio technical direction. In 1975, for successful fulfillment of state tasks by the decision of the Council of Ministers of the RSFSR, the communications equipment plant was given the name of the outstanding inventor of radio Alexander Stepanovich Popov.

For a long period of time the Popov communications equipment plant works for the aviation industry, that is why all manufactured products have high quality requirements and necessary quality certificates. The plant successfully passed the certification according to the international standard ISO-9001.

Today the enterprise has a wide range of possibilities in the field of production of radio-electronic devices. The Popov communications equipment plant carries out production, maintenance, repair and modernization of aviation and ground radio stations MW and HF ranges from 50 to 400 W, aviation modules of radio communication systems, Aircraft communication devices, voice messaging equipment. Almost 85 percent of the total fleet of aircraft of the Russian Federation and CIS countries are equipped with products of the Popov communications equipment plant.

The plant successfully operates in the automotive component market, supplying a number of sensors and other control products to the conveyor of the Gorky Automobile Plant.
